Assured Energy come to the rescue for this Nisa retailer

Assured Energy have proved that enlisting advice from a trusted consultancy can solve supply contract problems for Nisa retailers.

As Nisa’s preferred energy partner, we are often the first port of call when their members are looking for cheaper terms and experiencing problems.

This was certainly the case for HRQ Brothers Ltd, on Ystrad Road in Pentre, Mid Glamorgan (Wales) and their Nisa Local shop.

Retailer Qais Aziz acquired this store in January 2021, which was a first for him, and put the store through a renovation and meter upgrade, which affected his electricity spend.

But Qais was not aware he was under a fixed-rate contract, that only took a set fee month-to-month. Facing an outstanding balance, Nisa put him in touch with Assured Energy.

He said: “Ever since I’ve been in business, I’ve used the same energy supplier, but I was having issues, which I was finding difficult to understand, even after several telephone calls.

“Perhaps I took my eye off the ball a bit, in terms of what I was using, because the same money was coming out of my account each month, as I was on a fixed tariff.

“I didn’t realise is that I was in arrears, with my supplier, as my usage was fluctuating over the months. I owed them a significant sum of money.

“I contacted Mark Ludford (Assured Energy consultant) on the recommendation of my Nisa rep, who I’d called not really knowing what I was looking to achieve.

“Mark explained, in the simplest of ways, and helped me to understand my situation. I then took the steps that he recommended to overcome the issues with my existing supplier.

“We put together an action plan, which extended my contract and spread the cost over a longer period of time, that Mark helped me out with.

“He went above and beyond to put this plan into place and put me first, not the needs of his business. What more could I have asked for?

“The time that Mark has spent with me has been invaluable and I now have peace of mind, for the remainder of my electricity contract.

“I’m already talking to Assured Energy about my next contract. I’ve found an avenue where the support and information is reliable.
